new zealand guide to campervan accommodation & where to stay

Throughout the length and breadth of New Zealand you will find a vast choice of holiday parks. While you are likely to stay in a campgrounds for the majority of your holiday, we find that many people like to stay in a hotel close to the branch they pick up from on the first night they arrive in New Zealand. This particularly makes sense after a long flight so you are refreshed and not driving while you are tired or jet-lagged.

Campground Information

With the large number of campervan accommodation options around New Zealand how do you decide where to stay? We recommend that you choose Qualmark* rated holiday parks. Many parks are located in prime coastal, river and lakeside locations which will allow you to wake up in some of the most scenic spots in the world! The nightly cost of powered sites (sites with power points for suitably wired vehicles like our motorhomes) varies between: NZ$18 to $40 per night (subject to change).

*Qualmark® is New Zealand tourism's official mark of quality. All tourism businesses that carry Qualmark®, which means they've been independently assessed as professional and trustworthy, so you can book with confidence.

TOP 10 is the premier New Zealand holiday parks and campgrounds (motor camps) group.

Holiday Parks provide New Zealand's best leisure accommodation.
