New Zealand "a golfer's paradise" - you bet!  In fact, there is a golf course for every 10,000 people in NZ - some say that’s because there are only a few people living here but its still an impressive statistic.  There seems to be at least one golf course per small town or hamlet the length and breadth of the country.

Unlike many northern hemisphere countries, golf is played all year round in New Zealand and most feature the most stunning backdrops you can imagine.   One of our favorites is the Mt Hutt Golf course in Canterbury with Mt Hutt itself looming from down the fairway, or the course at Waitangi over looking the majestic Bay of Islands . . . its enough to put you off your swing!

And you don’t have to be a millionaire to play here!  Green fees for overseas visitors vary from as little as NZ$5 for 9-hole rural courses to NZ$200 for the top resort courses with an average cost of about $30 a round. Golf carts and hire clubs are usually available at the larger clubs.
